Pinnekjøttlag & Blinged-Up Nike Shoes

Christmas is over and here's a few photos from the past week.

Chocolate-covered balls of marzipan

In between Christmas-binging
I made several batches of
vegetable soup

We went to my best friend Anette's house for pinnekjøttlag - "stick meat"; salted and dried lamb ribs that are steam boiled over birch sticks in a pot, and served with potatoes, mashed rutabaga, sauerkraut, sausage, beer and aquavit.

We played this fun party game where everyone attending the party had brought a gift each - everyone was supposed to bring something they'd received for Christmas and didn't like.

Then, using two dices, all of the gifts were divided among the participants, and then by a certain time we had to battle for the gifts still using the dices and set numbers, and if you had any gifts when the time ran out, they were yours!

A really funny game. Getting so competitive over stuff that you knew were other people's "trash".

Bah, makes us sound so ungrateful, haha!

Linn won, but then gave to me!
I even wore it on new years eve!

- can you tell?

Last week my dad also came over together with my sister and her boyfriend.

We had the traditional Christmas roasted pork ribs, again.

I made carrot cake!
