Desperately Enjoying One (Last) Day of Summer

The non-existing weather-Gods have been giving Norwegians really shitty weather all summer.

Yesterday we finally got a break.

So after work I hurried home, grabbed my bikini and Vidar, and we headed to one of the small islands in the Oslo fiord, called Hovedøya, for some chillaxing.

Everyone were desperate to
absorb as much
sunlight as possible

The girl in the black bikini to
the far right was totally getting a really
bad sun burn,
and seemingly none of her
girlfriends that she was with
said anything,
I nearly made my way over there
myself

I guess that's how desperate Norwegians get

Give us the sun!!

(Had to cut out the camel toe)

The notorious beer-diet
continues

And when it was time to go home,
everyone else seemingly were thinking the same thing

.. and when the last person in front of us
jumped onboard,
of course it was full,
and we had to wait for it to make one round
back to the mainland
and back

Luckily it was only
five minutes away

"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year"
LOL, that's reassuring

And today, back to crappy weather, rain and wearing a scarf and a jacket.

This country, I tell you.

Pickin' Strawberries & Eatin' Crayfish

This was outside our house yesterday
- Oslo, Norway, JULY 20th!!

But it wasn't snow..

.. it was HAIL!
Yittle marbles of ice

Hail Climate Change and Merry Christmas!

The hail melted soon enough, and this morning I went strawberry picking with my momma, which is kind of a tradition we try to do every summer.

Mom's in high spirits

I so want to take my own kids
picking strawberries, I think it's such a treat

It's much cheaper picking them yourself,
and if you're as sneaky as I am,
you only pick the nicest ones
- and you get to eat as much as you want!

Then I went to my childhood home for some supper.

Mom bashing away

Super speed!

Mammas motto - Ikkeno' Fjordland her i huset,
for å si det sånn!

Making a dipping sauce..

.. for..

Yum!

The dining table

I have a theory that mom
stays so skinny by eating lying on her stomach
- I mean, how much can you eat
when lying on your stomach, anyway?

Noodle soup

Happy feet
